Shadow of the Chapel, Chapter 1
I shuddered as a sudden chill crept up my spine, stirred from the ecstasy that had enveloped me not a few moments ago.
I cast my gaze across the world, looking for what it was that caused this, but nothing seemed amiss. The beautiful blue-green of the flora still held its color, flowing and unbroken. Water flowed, gently and lazily around my ankles, clear and sweet, the sky streaked serenely with twisting clouds adorning high peaks around me.
A hand was laid upon my hip. Slowly, I let my eyes follow it up a forearm, an elbow, a shoulder, and then a bare chest. I closed my eyes before taking another look.
This must be heaven.
I opened my eyes, and there he was, his violet eyes looking right through me.

He smiled at me, and, slowly, leaned down to me, to my lips.
All was right in this world, as the sun beamed down upon us.
